Immerse yourself in the heart of the 15th century, to follow the captivating investigation led by Jean Juvénal des Ursins, archbishop of Reims and mastermind of the second trial of Joan of Arc. From room to room, through an immersive digital journey, the centuries-old walls of the Archiepiscopal Palace come to life and reveal the true story of Joan of Arc.

The archbishopric

At the foot of Rouen Cathedral, the Historial takes place in the very place where the destiny of Joan of Arc was decided, the archbishopric palace of Rouen. This monument houses the remains of the so-called “Officiality” room, where Joan’s conviction was pronounced in 1431, and where her rehabilitation trial took place in 1456.
